A Magical Storm

I enjoyed an evening out in a blizzard with almost the full Tremplo Gang last night. A few of us enjoyed a delicious pear-flavored bottle of Riesling (named Naked something or other) at the Trempealeau Hotel. I selected the oregano-garlic chicken with a side of the most delicious mashed potatoes I think I've ever tasted. After dinner we bundled up to face the storm outside. The snow had turned to sleet and our feet crunched through the the crusty top layer of snow to trudge up the hill towards Vet's Bar. Beth and I clutched onto each other, laughing as we trudged, and opted to change our course to walk on the street. The laughter continued through the night with stories, stories, and more stories. Of course there is always a touch of reminiscing about stories from the past, there are the stories to catch up on each others' lives, and stories of future plans. The only thing missing was the fifth wheel of our Tremplo Gang, but his brother and parents were there to bridge the gap. Those of us present really enjoyed our magical, stormy night out in Tremp City.
