Stripping Illusions
On our first morning together, my host woke early and headed to the beach to do a little journaling and I slept in until eight and began my day with my traditional Abraham Hicks Process 21 Wellness Meditation and then a 10-minute morning meditation with Jason Stephenson where I set the intention that we would have the most fun together in Myrtle Beach!
Once we reunited, we prepared for breakfast out on the town and ended up at Blueberry Cafe in North Myrtle Beach, quite a drive, but filled with our usual soul talk. We have always been deep thinkers and although I can't tell you exactly what the subject of this soul talk on this day was (or for much of our time together), I can assure you it was during that drive that I came to the realization that we were together at this stage of my trip to help me talk out some of the things I have been experiencing along the way. Have I mentioned how grateful I am for a friend like this?
During breakfast the couple sitting at the table next to us both stared at their phones while waiting for their food while the two of us had a wonderful conversation over my tasty gluten-free pancakes and fresh-squeezed orange juice. I hoped in some small way that maybe they were at least entertained by our off-the-wall conversation.
Afterwards we hit up a local shop called the Hippy Gypsy where we thought we might find a swim cover up, but I ended up discovering a new oracle deck: Shamanic Healing Oracle Cards. After finding a guide book online, I pulled a card for my trip - #27 Stripping Illusions.
It struck me right away because my friend was talking about this dream she had where she was driving and her windshield was covered in mud. Stripping away the layers to let my true self shine through feels exactly spot on to me as well! "Allow layer after layer of false beliefs, cluttered thinking, unfulfilling relationships, chaotic environments, to go by the wayside to reveal the perfect essence of your core self." It's definitely time for me to look my truth in the face.*This blog contains affiliate links.
